Weddings / ReceptionsEvery wedding is different, and we want you to have the day you’ve always wanted. Here are some common questions/and answers to get you started. Please remember we offer a no-cost consultation and always prefer to meet with you face to face.
#1 Will you play longer that your contracted time? Sure we will, the same hourly rate applies and we may be subject to venue requirements.
#2 What kind of music do you play? The best answer to that question is a combination of 3 important things.
Yes ! We provide a wireless lapel and/or wireless hand held mic along with perfectly planned music for both the pre-ceremony and ceremony. We also work with any live musicians you may choose to include in your ceremony and can provide mics and P.A. to be sure the ceremony sound is in a word, Perfect. #4 What will you wear to our event? DJ Bob will always be dressed appropriately with consideration to your style, the venue, and the type of event. #5 What time do you arrive to set up? We set up at least one hour prior to any performance. If your venue has special circumstances or access requirements, just let us know.
#6 Do you bring lights for the dance floor? If your event goes into the evening Phase One provides basic dance floor lights. Discrete fixtures attach right onto our speaker stands and add great energy and color. There is no additional charge for this. Larger lighting set ups can be arranged for an additional cost. ( If you need a professional lighting designer to create the color wash and effect you want via up-lighting and specialty effects, please see our Pro-Refferals section. #7 How far will you travel? We are based on the beautiful Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo. We love to travel and have done so for our events many times, Events over 100 miles round trip many require additional travel expenses. #8 Do you require a meal at the event? As a rule, we don’t eat @ our events But DJ Bob does love cake!!!
#9 What kind of equipment do you use? Phase one uses the right size system for your venue and number of guests. Our systems are based around professional brands like Peavey, Shure, Dennon. American DJ, HP and Serrato. All of our equipment is rack mounted in professional carpeted cases. We never display signs or banners of any kind.
